Hi Friends!
Do any of these statements apply to you?
- I have a day job so it’s difficult to find the time to create.
- Self-Discipline is a challenge for me.
- Distractions keep me from staying focused on my creative goals.
- When I do create, negative self-talk sometimes hinders my progress.
I can relate. This is a heavy list, and one that I’ve struggled with for the last eight years as I’ve worked to define myself as a “writer.”
Like any creative journey, mine has been fraught with many ups and downs, more than a few tears and the consumption of at least a couple pounds of chocolate. And still I persevere! And you should too because, in an ever-changing, increasingly uncertain world, art should be the one constant, the one thing that gives us hope.
That’s what I hope this blog brings you: a little inspiration, lots of love, and the support and encouragement you need to continue to pursue your creative dreams.
A little about me:
- I write fiction, romance, and the occasional book review. To read excerpts from my current works in progress, head on over to My Work.
- I’ve lived on the East Coast right outside New York City for most of my life and still have never been to the top of the Empire State Building (yes, seriously).
- I work a day job as a Consultant and Solutions Architect for a growing Digital Technology firm that helps organizations implement project management software. To learn more about how we help our clients, check out these Professional Articles.
- I hope I never have to exist in a world without coffee or macaroons.
- My daily yoga practice keeps me sane.
- While I write mostly adult fiction and romance, young adult fantasy is my guilty pleasure. You can stay up to date with what I’m reading on Goodreads.
- I have an amazing crew of family, friends and writing mentors I couldn’t live without. Including my husband, whom I love even though he changes the station every time I attempt to sing along to the car radio.
I look forward to connecting with you!
From my heart to yours, and always remember to Dream BIG.
xo,
K
